Double winder for pipes

The double winder is installed as a stand-alone system at the end of an extrusion line for endless plastic pipes and is used to wind the extruded pipe onto drums (made out of wood or steel) intended for this purpose.

- Tube diameter: 20-63mm
- Drum dimensions up to Ø2,8m
- Drum weight up to 2 tons.
- Winding speed up to 50 m/min

Cooling can with smoothing ring

The cooling can holder, including the cooling can, is used as a follow-up device in extrusion lines for flat films. The film extrusion die extrudes a tubular polypropylene film, which is then passed over the cooling can to cool and at the same time is cut open from underneath by a rotating circular cutting knife. This process converts the film tube into a flat film.

- Possibility to regulate several cooling zones individually

Film extrusion die

The specific film extrusion dies are developed and built by Mecabride in collaboration with the customer. The task of the film extrusion die is to form the melt into a foamed film.
		
**Technical facts:**

- for PP / PE / PPS materials.
- Adjustment of the film thickness using an integrated special gear.
- Multiple heating and cooling channels ensure optimal heating/cooling of the melt.

Haul-off & haul-off + cutting combinations

Mecabride develops various haul-off as well as cutting devices according to customer requirements. These are usually custom-made special solutions that are perfectly tailored to the needs of specific manufacturing solutions.

We develop and manufacture a wide variety of winders and unwinders for the extrusion industry. Thanks to our special and prototype construction, we can always build a machine that is optimally adapted to a wide range of customer requirements. In addition to the standard unwinders, we can also offer our customers the design and manufacture of complete custom made unwinding stations.

We design the chassis based on P&ID and flow diagrams and take care of the manufacturing and assembly in our workshop.

To optimize extrusion systems, Mecabride develops and manufactures downstream equipment tailored to your needs. Depending on the product and quality requirements, different special solutions can be implemented. Mecabride is able to offer individual solutions even for difficult tasks.
